Richard Bevan is a Brickwork Apprentice currently training with ACE towards an NVQ level 2. Richard worked as a general labourer for R S Builders and was encouraged by his employer to gain a qualification.

The best bit of my training so far has been learning skills that are useful to my boss – the more I learn the more useful I am – I’ve built extensions, walls and used my training for all aspects of brickwork for my employer. I want to stay with R S Builders but I also know that with my Apprenticeship I will have a trade to fall back on if work gets short.
