e offer a range of short or part-time courses designed to help candidates get a feel for construction, or upskill those who are already working in the industry.

Some courses will be site based, others will be workshop & classroom based depending on your needs and cover a variety of trade areas at levels to best suit you depending on which stage of your construction career you are at.

We're here to help you with whatever you need to learn to start or further your career in construction. 

Please note that prices quoted apply to all occupational areas and do not take into account any specialist requirements the client may have.  Prices also do not include registration and certification costs which is £100 per qualification, payable by the client.  OSAT charges include reasonable travel costs to be incurred by ACE.  All OSAT clients will be assessed to determine whether additional travel expenses will be charged.

 

 

Private Courses

Current Courses

-On Site Assessment and Training (OSAT)

Achieve your Site Carpentry NVQ Level 2 or 3, or Brickwork NVQ Level 2 or 3 quickly, on site through a series of short assessments.

 

This course is only suitable for time served carpenters and bricklayers who have experience in the industry. You must demonstrate your skills and knowledge through a series of practical assessments on site carried out by our tutors. The course can last as little as 2 days, and is made up of a series of visits and discussions which will be arranged to suit you.

 

Cost

OSAT Level 2 = £1,200

OSAT Level 3 = £1,350

-Construction Diplomas

A construction diploma will help develop your skills and knowledge through both practical, hands-on work and theory work You will learn in a group environment in our workshop

 

You'll be assessed using coursework, multiple-choice tests and practical assignments.

 

Which Level is right for me?

 

Level 1:You're just getting started and want to learn basic construction skills that can help you progress to Level 2 or an apprenticeship.

 

Level 2: You have some knowledge and basic skills in construction. You want to increase your skills so you can progress to more detailed work.

 

Cost

Level 1 & Level 2 Diploma = £2,450

Individual Diploma Units = £350

Day Rate for Diploma Units = £250

-Functional Skills

Get to grips with Maths, English and ICT – choose from an award in English, Maths or ICT, at a level that suits you.

 

Each award provides you with the knowledge skills and understanding in order to progress in life and at work.

 

6 week course, 2 days per week. All transport & subsistence costs may be covered subject to eligibility.

-Schools Courses

ACE has been successfully trialling the provision of part-time learning for students of statutory school age in Oxfordshire during the current academic year.

 

Under this arrangement, a student will spend part of their school week at ACE, with the support of their school and parent/guardian/carer. We will consider every request on an individual basis but this course is only suitable for students who have a genuine interest in construction and who will be comfortable in a learning environment with older students present. Students will typically spend 1-3 days per week at ACE and the days for this course are Wednesday to Friday.

 

Cost

1 day per week = £290

3 days per week = £870
