We can’t believe where the last year has gone! Our Apprentice Liaison Co-ordinator Lyndsey started with us about a year ago, and one of her first events was the first West Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Event at Witney Lakes……she wasn’t quite expecting the 400+ people who turned up but what a way to start!
And so, this year’s event is upon us, this Thursday 22nd October 6-8pm at Witney Lakes.
For us, this event was among the very best events we attended last year, a great job all round by the organisers from the West Oxfordshire Learning Partnership (WOLP). So much so in fact, that the Prime Minister has come out and offered his support for the event. Here are his comments in a news piece done by our friends at Oxfordshire Apprenticeships.
We’ll be hoping to catch up with loads of parents to talk about the great career opportunities that exist in construction and we especially are hoping to talk to girls who may not have considered the industry as an option. This is part of our great new ‘Girls Allowed’ programme that we are launching very soon!
