We’re looking for an Office Support Assistant to start immediately. This is a new role and it will be varied, ideally suited to someone who doesn’t like everyday to be the same. Job description below (and attached for easy printing)…..

Office Support Assistant (37 hours per week)
Kidlington, Oxon

Salary £18,000 – £22,000 per annum

ACE Training is a specialist Construction training company based in Kidlington, and is looking for an Office Support Assistant to work full time. This is a varied role and would suit someone who enjoys working on a range of different tasks in a busy organisation.

ACE Training is a not-for-profit, independent training organisation delivering Education Funding Agency (EFA) and Skills Funding Agency (SFA) qualifications, including Apprenticeships, across Site Carpentry, Brickwork, Bench Joinery, Groundworks and Maintenance Operations. As well as working with school leavers and young people, ACE also works with a number of local partners to deliver employability skills training to long-term unemployed adults. The role as Office Support Assistant is based at our training centre in Kidlington. Working hours are Monday to Friday 0830-1630, but some evening work may be required from time to time to represent the company at local careers fairs and school events. ACE also undertakes ‘outreach’ and partnership work with other agencies so having a driving licence is necessary to fulfil the role.

Main responsibilities include:
• Provide support with new student/Apprentice liaison including booking in interviews and organising Taster Days and Open Mornings
• Dealing with telephone, email and social media enquiries
• Provide administrative support in relation to the maintenance of the Training Centre, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety.
• Finance support eg. Bookkeeping, purchasing, credit control, as required
• Help maintain learner records and other company documentation
• Support with ‘outreach’ work, to include representing ACE Training in building and maintaining relationships with local organisations working in our field

Qualifications and experience required:
• Experience of working in a learning environment with young people of school leaving age is highly desirable
• Experience of the construction industry would be an advantage
• Full, clean driving licence is essential (ideally including entitlement to drive Category D1)
